An even more selective list can be found through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Every member of the AAML must meet stringent membership requirements that include extensive experience and an ethics evaluation. Access their list online, or through your library.
Be sure you select a Family Law specialist. In these days of sophisticated, complicated laws, you really do need an expert. It is also a good sign if they are, for instance, head of the Family Law section of a Bar Association.
